Carrie Edwards-Clemons

Flint, MI


Carrie Edwards-Clemons was born and raised in Flint, Michigan and is a proud product of the Flint Community Schools. Carrie would begin seeking higher education at Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi. Transferring after her junior year, Carrie completed her B.A. at the University of Michigan. Carrie then went on to earn her M.B.A. in Public Administration from Columbia Southern University.

After working as a teacher with the Flint Community School, Carrie hired into the City of Flint Fire Department fulfilling her dream of becoming a paramedic. Carrie has worked in various positions within the fire department including Grants Administrator, but has enjoyed most the position as Emergency Medical Services Supervisor.  Carrie also worked as an Emergency Room Technician at the local medical center.

Carrie served as 1st and 2nd Vice President of Flint Firefighters Local 352 of the IAFF.  She is the proud mother of Lawrence, Daniel, & Tera Lynn and the VERY PROUD grandmother of Jalen. Carrie enjoys reading, singing, dancing, playing the piano and spending time with family and friends.
